TSA Participates in Toys for Tots Drive

Coastal Middle School’s Technology Student Association Gives Back to the Community

There is an old adage that states that it is far better to give than to receive. Coastal Middle School’s Technology Student Association tested this out this winter when they decided to participate in the Toys for Tots Drive sponsored by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Being an association rooted in science and math, the experiment proved that the adage was indeed a truth. Through local news broadcast in the Coastal News Room, TSA asked the students, faculty and staff to donate toys to be delivered to children in need for the holiday season. The response was overwhelming, as over fifty toys were collected. Community service is a component of both TSA and Coastal’s International Baccalaureate program. The toys were delivered to the Marine Recruiting office on Montgomery Crossroads for distribution. We are proud to be able to give back to a community who has given so much support to TSA.
