State Officers 2011-2012

President - Andrew White
Arabia Mountain HS

Hello everyone! My name is Andrew White your 2011-2012 Georgia TSA State President. I’m currently a senior at Arabia Mountain High School. I aspire to major in Chemical Engineering and work in Sustainable Energy Design and Development. By far my favorite conference is our State Leadership Conference. Not only is it the largest conference of the year, but the competitions are amazing. Getting to see all the talent Georgia TSA members is invaluable because the projects are epic. In fact my favorite TSA moment was my first State Leadership Conference right before my competition in Debating Technology Issues when me and my opponents hanging out and playing games to pass the time. Even though we were about to compete with one another, we had an awesome time and we welcomed friendly competition with open arms. And that’s what I believe is one of the best parts about TSA, the warmness and friendly atmosphere at all the conferences. Serving as a two-term State Officer has proven to be one of the best experiences of my life. TSA has allowed me to achieve things I never imagined. If you’d like to hear more from me or your other State Officers visit Facebook and like our official page “Georgia Technology Student Association”.

First Vice President - Isabella Connor
Irwin County HS

My name is Isabella Connor and I proudly represent you as your 2011-2012 GA State TSA First Vice President! I am currently a senior at Irwin County High School in Ocilla, Ga. I am most honored to be able to represent GA TSA in the leadership role that my fellow TSA members have allowed me. The moment I was announced as the 2011-2012 GA State TSA Vice President is one of my greatest memories. TSA equips me with many skills that I will be able to integrate into my everyday life both now and when I graduate college and enter the work force. It prepares me with leadership capabilities, communication skills, and it also allows me a chance to better myself in the different aspects of competitive events. My favorite thing about being involved in TSA is the opportunity that it presents me with. TSA allows me to completely be myself and immerse myself in its entirety, from my interactions with all of the great friends I have made through TSA, to putting my absolute best into every competition I am involved in. I hope to attend Georgia Tech to pursue a career in an Engineering of some sort. If there is ever anything I can do for you please just let me know, I am here to represent you. Please be sure to like our Georgia TSA page on Facebook! You can also email me at Gatsa1vp@gmail.com, I am looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary year with you all!

Hello Georgia TSA, my name is Allen Williams, but you can call me A.C. and this year I am serving as your 2011-2012 Ga TSA State Second Vice President. This year I'm a Middle School Senior from Coastal Middle in Savannah and love things such as going to the beach, and playing soccer. Currently, I would like to peruse a career in aerospace engineering. My favorite conference is State Conference because of the all the competitions and leadership opportunities. The things that I love most in my life are my family, my pet dog and cat, and my fellow Georgia TSA State Officers. I can't express how much I love TSA. These are so many things you can do in this amazing organization and hope that I can see all of you at our events and conferences. Secretary - Michelle McIntire
Collins Hill HS

Hi! My name is Michelle McIntire, the GATSA 2011-2012 State Secretary. I am a senior at Collins Hill High School. In the future I hope to be attending MIT for Mechanical Engineering. Throughout my years in TSA I have had many amazing experiences, such as winning top three at state conference in Structural Engineering, winning third in the Nation for Structural Engineering at National Conference, and now being elected to State Office. But my most outstanding experience in TSA has been simply attending conferences, making lifelong friends, and learning about all the different fields of Engineering. TSA has given me the insight I need to pick the right technical field for me, and has opened up opportunities I never could have imagined before. It has also given me many fond memories, such as sitting on the front row with my fellow State Officer Candidates, our legs shaking in unison from nerves, comforting each other before our speeches, and then crying together from relief once speeches were over. Thank you, GATSA for electing me as your State Secretary, and allowing me to take the next step in making a difference in this organization. I am here to serve you, and please don’t hesitate to stop me when you see me at conferences, or contact me at any time gatsasectretary@gmail.com. And be sure to “like” the GATSA Facebook page to stay updated on GATSA news. GATSA get ready for an amazing 50th anniversary year, with an evolution of a revolution.

Treasurer- Vivek Patel
Collins Hill HS

Namaste Georgia TSA, my name is Vivek Patel, I am a senior at Collins Hill High School and I am serving as your 2011-2012 State Treasurer. I have been involved in TSA since the eighth grade and the only thing I regret is that I started so late. I enjoy everything that I do for this great association and believe that the strong determination and passion all of us dedicate to this association is what makes it so excellent. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and running cross-country.  I am excited to be part of GA TSA's 50th year and celebrating with you all!
